Monument to the Third International / Tatlin's tower :
The Russian sculptor Vladimir Tatlin designed a constructivist style tower with 400 meters high,to be built in Petrogrado. It was an spiral structure of iron and steel, overturned toward one side in the angle of the Earth's axis, containing four glass structures:A cube, a pyramid, a cylinder and a half-sphere that would rotate at different speeds. The cube would complete its turn in a year, the pyramid in a month, the cylinder in a day and half-sphere in an hour.Tatlin put inside, the headquarters of the Communist International, as well as a telegraph office and several restaurants.Several giant screens would show the latest world news.He never got built because civil war shot the scarcity of materials.
